Head House of Yecheon Gwon Family

Head House of Yecheon Gwon Family
  • Location : 166-2, Jukrim-ri, Yongmun-myeon
  • This is the main building of the Head house of the Yecheon Gwon family which was constructed by Gwon Oh-sang, the grandfather of Chogan Gwon Mun-hae in 1589 (in 22-year reign of King Seonjo). The square-shaped main-building has five compartments in front and on the side, respectively. A separate house, designated as Treasure no. 457, is connected to the main building. On the right side, a shrine is seated separately.

Yulhyeondong Mulchedang

Yulhyeondong Mulchedang
  • Location : 143 Yulhyeon-ri, Yucheon-myeon
  • This is a square-shaped house with seven compartments in front and six compartments on the side. Both sides of the façade form a wing with one compartment each. The detached house is on the left and right side of mid gate of façade. The façade has a room surrounded by ordinary handrails. The main section of building has upper room and inner room, based on the main floored room. The upper part of façade of main floored room had earthen walls, creating a closed 3 dimensional ambience. The plane type is distinctive from other types of houses, which has one private sitting room for a lady behind the upper room and inner room.
