  높은 다리, 고교(高橋) [마을] : 상리면 사곡리(沙谷里)에 속한 마을로, 명봉리(鳴鳳里)와 도촌리(道村里)가 갈라지는 지점에 있다. 명봉사(鳴鳳寺)에서 내려오는 냇물 위로 놓인 다리가 높다고 하여 높은다리라고 한다. 이 다리는 밤나무 재목으로 놓고 그 위에 청솔을 깔고 흙을 덮어 우마(牛馬)가 지나다니게 했고, 그 이래에는 바위가 많은데도 다리에서 떨어지더라도 다친 사람이 없었다고 한다. 1920년 경에 길이 10m, 폭 4m의 시멘트 다리로 바꾸었다. 6.25전쟁(1950) 때 명봉선(鳴鳳線)과 저수재선 도로가 합쳐지는 곳이기에, 작전상 도촌(道村)에 있던 예천경찰서상리지서(上里支署)를 이곳으로 옮겨 현재까지 이르고 있다. 다리 옆에는 군수 선정비(善政碑)들이 있다. 1958년 지명 조사 때 고교(高橋)라고 하였다. 8가구(1973) 34명 중 예천 權 2가구, 경주 金 1가구 등이 살고 있다. [傳說] : 바람이 세게 부는 곳이어서, '높은다리 겨울바람에 바위가 날려 거미줄에 걸렸다가, 눈이 녹고 참꽃이 필 무렵이면, 공중에 매달려 덜렁거린다."라고 하였다.

  높은다리 : 명봉과 저수재의 갈림길에 있고 깊은 골짜기 위에 밤나무로 다리를 놓고 그 위에 청솔을 깔고 흙을 덮어 牛馬가 지나다니게 해서 생긴 지명이다. 저수재를 넘어 丹陽을 거쳐 서울로 가던 길목이다.(上里面홈페이지 2013)

When a patient with acute sinus or otitic infection complain headache, vomiting, impairment of consciousness, seizures or focal neurological signs, the possibility of intracranial infection should be considered./ We recently experienced a case of subdural empyema in a 22 yrs old male who had not any previous history of infection. This patient with signs of IICP and seizures was diagnosed as space occupying lesion in the subdural space, right frontotemporal by carotid angiography but trephination revealed a subdural empyema which was drainaged through multiple burr holes./ After 2 weeks of uneventful course, the computed tomography was done because of reappeared signs of IICP and three encapsualated subdural abscess were found./ The patient was discharged from hospital in the excellent condition after total extirpation through craniotomy of above abscess.(keris 2006)

All patients received nimodipine intravenously or orally until the 14th day of SAH Sixty patients underwent surgery on Day 0 through 2 after attacks of subarachnoid hemorrhage(Goup A) 105 patients on Day 3 through 14(Group B). and 35 patients after Day 14(Group C). Of 199 patients. 76(38％) patients suffered from symtomatic vasospasm. Symptomatic vasospasm occured in 34％ of Group A patients. 33％ of Group B patients. and 5％ of Group C patients. Symtomatic vasospasm occured more frequently in the older age group. the Fisher group 3 and Hunt ＆ Hess grades 3, 4 and 5 groups. Of 76 patients who suffered from symptomatic vasospasm. 47(62％) patients recovered completely. The author analysed the relationship between recovery rate and sex, age. Hunt ＆ Hess agrde and Fisher group among these 76 patients. Recovery rates between these groups were not significantly different. Based on this experience the author believes that Hunt-Hess grade. Fisher group and age are important factors affecting symptomatic vasospasm development.(keris 2006)

[초록] : A series of 44 patients with cerebral arteriovenous malformations(AVM, s) treated by various modalities from January, 1987, to March, 1994, at Chung-Ang University Hospital were reviewed with emphasis on the outcome./ Of these patients, 8 received conservative treatment 16 only surgery, 4 combined embolization and surgery, and 16 embolization alone. The fellow-up period ranged from 7 months to 54 months with a mean of 20.6 months. The efficacy of the combined treatment was evaluated by the complications and the clinical outcome. When compared with surgery alone, preoperative embolization facilitated surgery by reducing intraoperative bleeding and shortening the time of surgery. Clinical outcome was better after preoperative embolization, with no occurrence of major complications and mortality. Five AVM,s were totally occluded by embolization alone, but of the 5 cases, 1 case was readmitted due to bleeding 2 years after the embolization./ It is concluded that combined treatment with preoperative embolization and surgery was helpful in the management of large, high grade AVM's by reducing the complications associated with their surgical removal.(keris 2006)
